What is the right age to start preschool?
Children typically start preschool between 1.8 to 2.5 years, depending on their readiness and comfort level. At Eager Beaver, we offer age-appropriate programs that gently ease children into a structured, nurturing environment. Additionally, we also offer a Bond-N-Bloom program (our Parent-Toddler program) that ensures a gradual, secure, and emotionally supportive transition into preschool, with parents actively participating in their child’s early learning journey.
How will you help my child settle in if they cry or struggle to adjust?
Settling in is a gradual and sensitive process. Our teachers build trust through gentle reassurance, creative distractions, consistent routines, and lots of warmth. Parents are also supported with a transition plan to help ease separation anxiety—every child is given the time and comfort they need.
What kind of curriculum do you follow, and how is learning made fun?
We follow a play-based, experiential curriculum rooted in early childhood development principles that enables a child to gently and gradually explore the world around them and develop the necessary skills to navigate it. Learning is hands-on, exploratory, and joyful—whether through games, stories, art, music, sensory play, or theme-based activities.
How do you balance academics with play-based learning?
At this age, play is learning. Foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development are built naturally through activities like storytelling, group games, rhymes, pretend play, and discovery stations.
What are the qualifications and experience of your teachers?
Our educators are trained in early childhood education and development. They are also continually upskilled through workshops and mentoring to ensure they offer the best support, care, and learning experiences for young children.
What is the teacher-to-child ratio in each class?
We maintain a 5:1 teacher-to-child ratio to ensure personalised attention, strong emotional connections, and close supervision. Ratios vary slightly by age group, but always adhere to early childhood best practices.
Is your school safe and hygienic, and do you have CCTV monitoring?
Yes. Safety and hygiene are non-negotiable. Our centres are equipped with secure entry systems, CCTV surveillance, child-safe infrastructure, and strict cleaning protocols. Staff are trained in emergency procedures, child safety and POCSO norms. Visitors are rarely given entry into classroom/ daycare areas and only on a need basis and strictly under staff supervision.
How do you handle medical emergencies or accidents?
All staff are trained in basic first aid and emergency response. In case of any illness or injury, parents are informed immediately and appropriate care is provided. We have a network of nearby doctors and clinics on call if needed.
What is the fee structure and are there any additional charges?
Our fee structure is transparent and inclusive of most activities and materials (including foreign language program, sports training, field trips, Sports Day and other events and celebrations). Any additional costs such as Annual Day are always communicated in advance. Our team is happy to share details during your visit.
Do you have connects with high schools?
Yes, we do. Over the years, Eager Beaver has built strong relationships with several reputed high schools in our vicinity. Our team is happy to offer recommendations based on your child’s needs and help you navigate the next step with confidence.
How will I receive updates about my child’s day and progress?
We communicate with parents regularly through our school app, photos, updates, and monthly reports. Parent-teacher meetings and informal check-ins ensure you always know how your child is doing—academically, socially, and emotionally.
